This vintage’s deep violet hue offers a perfume of black cherry, damp earth and dark chocolate covered blueberries. The velvety finish lingers on the palate for close to a minute. It is opulence in a bottle.

Through Wine, Art and Community
Since we are spending so much time at home these days, a glass of wine (or two) has become a daily essential and something we look forward to. Discovering new and small production wines is treasured right now.Amid uncertainty, I chose to find a way that I could spread a message of connection and perspective through my wine.
I am deeply connected to my land, my vines, grapes and the wine I make from them. When you drink my wine, it connects us. We are all seeking more connection these days. Since I am not an artist, I sought out someone who could create a visual conduit to my message of connection.
My husband and I had the good fortune to meet the Marroquin Family almost four years ago. They arrived as strangers and left as dear friends. We connected over food and wine and spent time at our vineyard farmhouse on Mount Veeder.
One of the teenage sons, Matias, was working on his art. It was colorful, detailed and inviting. When I asked him what his inspiration was, he explained that it was his perspective of neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area. His art affected me. Matias was the obvious choice of artist for this project, so I commissioned him to design a piece based on my topographic map of my vineyard. He took my perspective, added his and created the artwork you see here. The transition is fascinating!
Matias’s first version was so close to what I had envisioned that we only refined it slightly in version two. The final wine label reflects a combination of both pieces.
