2011 Cabernet Earns 95 Points, Investment Grade Evaluation

Just shortly after our 2010 Cabernet earned a 94 point rating, we are thrilled to announce that the following 2011 vintage has done even better and earned 95 points in a blind and independent evaluation by Sommelier Capital Advisors.  The palate is rich with black currant and brambly notes, elderberry and dried blueberry segue smoothly into rich soil, spices, flowers and dark chocolate. The judges described this beautiful cab as powerful but balanced with a distinct, sophisticated character.   Its vibrant flavors endured well beyond an hour and a half, and supported an enduring fifteen to twenty second finish.

Notes of tar, leather, iron and sun dried tomato reminded some panelists of the Cabernet-based Super Tuscans. Gravel, charcoal and graphite to others were reminiscent of the wines of Graves. ~ Sommelier Capital Advisors

The Sommelier Company describes their methods as independent, systematic and objective, employing panels of experts who are certified by the Society of Wine Educators, the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and other trusted organizations in the field.  Their review of our 2010 cabernet was conducted “blind” over 1 to 2 hours, and resulted in an Investment Grade evaluation.  This wine promises to age and develop for several more years.
